Newsletter Fall/Winter 2008From the DirectorGoing to the mailbox ranks up there with one of my favorite jobs here at Mary’s Place. The past few months proved to be no exception. The response to our Ray of Hope Gala was beyond our expectations. Your generous donations and support allowed us to raise over $55,000, which will go directly to our programs. And once again, we were fortunate to be the recipient of a generous grant from the Wireless Zone Foundation for Giving.
In addition to this, the responses to our newsletter, along with your many notes of encouragement and support for what we do, are heartwarming. But none were more touching than this letter and donation from Andrew Bearinger who lives in Maryland, and who with his brothers Max and Carter raised money to help support Mary’s Place. Be it large or small, every donation helps us to continue to pursue our mission of offering a safe place for children, teens and families to express their grief, receive support and find comfort. WE ARE SO BLESSED. Thank you all. Warmly, Lisa Peluso
