Understanding Children's Grief ; A three workshop session for parents and guardians. This workshop will take place at Mary’s Place from 10:00-11:00am on 10/16, 11/6 and 11/20, held in the parent waiting room during the little kids group.

About the Event
Understanding Children's Grief: A three workshop session for parents and guardians.
October 16, November 6 and November 20
10am-11am
Sunday October 16 – Overview of children’s grief. We will review typical symptoms, behaviors and reactions. We will also discuss the developmental stages of children’s grief. How does grief look at various ages from infancy through teens? As well as strategies for talking with children about death and grief.
Sunday November 6 – We will discuss ways to talk with and work with teachers, extended family and other adults in your child’s life around their grief. We will address concerns about how to know when your child needs extra help in managing their grief.
Sunday November 20 – We will discuss the spiritual side of grief and how we share our understandings with children. Establishing memories: including activities to explore which can help build a store of memories for your child.
